Welcome to a New (and slightly different) AllisonBlog!

You're looking at my new blog address--with a new title! I'll still do plenty of food posts, but I've felt the need to expand my horizons.

You see, I may go on a bit of a cooking-hiatus for a while until we make our move to Vienna at the end of September. I'll probably still do a few cooking posts, but not nearly as many, as I have other things on which I've got to focus for a while (like figuring out how to pack all my belongings into two suitcases and how I'm ever going to become modestly conversational with German).

I have enjoyed my little foray into blogging, though, and I feel that particularly once I've moved to a new place I might want to post a little bit about living in a new foreign city, and all the things I experience there (including Viennese foods!). It will also be a great way for all my family and friends to keep up with what I'm doing.

And...as you see, I've also changed my web address. "Flaminghotpuff" was something I thought was funny at the time, but I have aspirations that people will actually read my blog and I fear the name might be a turn off. So I've changed my name to Allison's Food and Otherwise, which sounds a lot more serious!
